Floatel adopts Axess integrity management service for offshore rigs

Axess Group has signed a long-term frame agreement to provide its Total Rig Integrity Management (TRIM) service to all Floatel International offshore accommodation vessels.

TRIM is said to provide comprehensive inspection, certification and verification, challenging the traditional approach of using multiple suppliers for different scopes per rig.

Instead, Axess will initiate/propose “streamlined” operations, which it claims should generate minimized carbon footprint and cost savings for Floatel.

The program will include periodic surveys of fixed and loose lifting equipment, dropped object management, and non-destructive testing.

In a separate development, Equinor Energy has advised Floatel International that it will not exercise an optional contract for providing accommodation and support services at the Oseberg Field Center in the Norwegian North Sea. The engagement was due to start following the completion of a project at the Åsgard complex in the Norwegian Sea in early fourth-quarter 2025.
