ABERDEEN, UK — James Fisher Subtech (JF Subtech) has signed a charter agreement with Olympus Subsea, giving it exclusive use and operation of the Olympic Taurus multipurpose offshore vessel.
The company clinched a charter arrangement earlier this year for the IRM subsea construction vessel Edda Savanah.
Both JF Subtech and sister company James Fisher Renewables will be able to use the Olympic Subsea, allowing for increased flexibility at a time when vessel availability across the offshore energy industry is limited.
Olympic Taurus has already mobilized from Montrose Port, eastern Scotland, equipped with a work class ROV, to support an unexploded ordnance (UXO) identification, survey and disposal campaign in the North Sea.
Once the campaign finishes in early May, the vessel will be available for other projects in European waters.
