JF Subtech checks subsea structures close to Ithaca North Sea platform

ABERDEEN, UK – James Fisher Subtech (JF Subtech) has completed a subsea inspection, repair and maintenance project for Ithaca Energy in the UK central North Sea.
This was conducted close to the floating production facility FPF-1 at the Greater Stella Area complex.
JF Subtech’s team, working from the DP-2 construction vessel Olympic Challenger, deployed an air diving spread and a Cougar Light work class ROV to install and remove cofferdams to support internal valve maintenance; rectification on riser guides; and inspection of more than 160 areas of the platform’s hull and sub-structure.
In total, the team executed 80 air dives and 126 hours of ROV operations.
