ABERDEEN, U.K.— James Fisher Subtech (JF Subtech) has completed a subsea inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) contract for NEO Energy on the Global Producer III FPSO in the U.K. central North Sea.
The vessel is located over the Balloch Field.
JF Subtech’s work scope, performed from the chartered Olympic Challenger construction vessel, included the removal of a thruster by lowering it through the GPIII hull, followed by subsea transfer and recovery to the deck of the diving support vessel, with the reverse procedures applied to install the replacement thruster.
In addition, the company performed inspection and replacement of the starboard forward linear loop anode and reference electrode, part of the vessel’s impressed current cathodic protection system.
