    Mainprize orders up to 12 Supa Swath offshore support vessels

    Mainprize Offshore has contracted Strategic Marine to construct six Supa Swath offshore transportation and support vessels, with an option to build six more.

    The recently inked agreement for the Supa Swath vessels follows the MoU signed at Seawork in June.

    Mainprize Offshore contracted Strategic Marine on Nov. 11 to construct six Supa Swath offshore transportation and support vessels, with an option to build six more.

    According to Strategic Marine, design features of the Supa Swath include stability in demanding environments, fuel savings supported by the propulsion systems, and navigation and communication technologies that lead to safer, more efficient operations.

    The first of the new batch ordered should be delivered in first-quarter 2026.

    A few months ago, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs ordered another two newbuild crew transfer vessels from Strategic Marine.
