Seaway 7, Cadeler managing T&I of North Sea East Anglia TWO wind structures
ScottishPower Renewables has contracted Seaway7 to transport and install the inter-array cables for the £4-billion ($5.15-billion) East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm development in the UK southern North Sea.
The 960-MW capacity project is one of three that will form the 4-GW East Anglia hub. of three East Anglia ONE is already operational.
Seaway will engineer, supply and install 64 inter-array cables starting in 2027, with the program managed from its Aberdeen office in the UK.
ScottishPower Renewables also booked Cadeler for T&I of the 64 x 15-MW offshore wind turbine generators and foundations for East Anglia TWO. The estimated value of the contract is EUR 360–382 million ($386-410 million).
Offshore activity will again begin in 2027 using one of Cadeler’s newbuild A-class vessels and an O-class vessel from its existing fleet.
