In mid-June, the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency issued the planning approvals for Nordseecluster A, consisting of NC 1 and NC 2. Nordseecluster's total capacity is up to 1.6 GW, with 104 turbines, and RWE holds 100% share.

Vestas has a firm order from RWE to supply 60 of its V236-15.0 wind turbines for the 900-MW Nordseecluster wind farm development offshore Germany.
Vestas’ scope covers supply, delivery and commissioning followed by a five-year servicing and subsequent long-term operational support agreement.
RWE is implementing the Nordseecluster in two phases, A and B. Vestas booked a firm order for the 660-MW Nordseecluster A in June, comprising 44 V236-15.0 MW turbines.
The location is 50 km north of the island of Juist in the German North Sea (German Bight).
Wind turbine installation for Nordseecluster B should take place in 2028 with commercial operations starting early in 2029.
