The deck for the new Quiluma field gas platform has departed the Ambriz Petromar yard in Angola.

New Gas Consortium, a joint venture between Azule Energy, Sonangol E&P, Chevron and TotalEnergies, commissioned this and the Maboqueiro platform.

Production from the two shallow-water fields will be sent onshore for processing, supplying feedstock for the Soyo LNG complex.

The project is Angola’s first non-associated offshore gas development.
