TotalEnergies has contracted SLB OneSubsea to provide 13 subsea wellsets and associated equipment and services for the Kaminho project in Block 20/11 offshore Angola.

This is a two-phase development covering the Cameia and Golfinho discoveries. For Cameia (Phase 1), the two parties will work collaboratively on a configurable subsea production layout based on a standardized vertical monobore subsea tree, wellhead and controls system.

OneSubsea will also support the project locally in Angola including assembly/manufacturing of modules, installation, commissioning and life-of-field services.

First oil production is scheduled for 2028, at 70,000 bbl/d.

In addition, TotalEnergies and SLB announced today they are collaborating to develop subsurface digital tools. The companies will jointly develop software available in the cloud. They said these new digital tools will be designed to improve modeling of the subsurface. They will also leverage the potential of the data collected for "the purposes of reducing existing fields’ carbon intensity and meeting new needs in geological carbon storage." The new software will build on the earlier efforts of both partners with reservoir simulator Intersect.
