VESTBY, Norway – DSME in South Korea has contracted Scana subsidiary Seasystems to provide mooring equipment and analysis services for two floating LNG storage unit vessels.

The order covers delivery of 72 hull brackets and chain stoppers for the two FSUs, both currently under construction. Production of the hull brackets and chain stoppers is due to start in November.

Seasystems will send its first consignments next February, and will also determine requirements to ensure the mooring system is in accordance with class requirements.

It will be based on technology that the company already supplies to the oil and floating wind power industry.
