KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia  Hibiscus Petroleum subsidiary Anasuria Hibiscus UK has received approval from the UK’s Offshore Petroleum Regulator for Environment and Decommissioning for the environmental statement for the Teal West subsea tieback in the central UK North Sea.

A decision on the field development plan should follow shortly.

The environmental statement submitted last year concerned a proposed three-phase development with up to two oil and gas production wells and one water injector, with all connected to the Anasuria FPSO via 3.4-km flowlines.

Oil would be exported to shore via offtake tankers. Some of the gas would be used as fuel offshore for the platform with the remainder sent to shore via the Fulmar Gas Line.

Currently the FPSO supports oil production, storage and gas export from the Guillemot A, Teal and Teal South and Cook fields.
