KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia— Anasuria Hibiscus UK has entered agreements to assume NEO Energy’s 30% interest in UK central North Sea license P2535.
The two companies were respectively assigned 70% and 30% in the concession under the UK’s 32nd Offshore Licensing Round, with Anasuria Hibiscus named operator of Block 21/24d, containing the Teal West oil and gas discovery.
In July NEO Energy advised of its intention to withdraw from the license 2535, with the transfer receiving approval from the UK North Sea Transition Authority.
The partners had been working on a development through infrastructure serving the Anasuria Cluster fields.
Anasuria Hibiscus decided to proceed with the activities on a 100% interest basis.
Current plans call for a three-phase development of Teal West prospect with up to two subsea production wells and one water injection well tied back to the Anasuria FPSO via 3.4-km flowlines.
Oil will be exported to shore on offtake tankers, and the gas will be used as fuel offshore and for export through the Fulmar gas line.
