Technip Energies has contracted Havfram to pre-install and hook-up the mooring system for the FPSO for bp’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project off Mauritania and Senegal.

STAVANGER, Norway – Technip Energies has contracted Havfram (formerly Ocean Installer) to pre-install and hook-up the mooring system for the gas FPSO for bp’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project off Mauritania and Senegal.
The development which will supply gas to local domestic and wider markets via an inshore LNG hub/terminal.
Havfram will initially engineer, transport, and install some of what it claims will be the largest ever driven piles and the associated mooring lines.
It will later return to hook-up the pre-installed mooring system to the FPSO following its arrival in field.
The vessel will be moored 35 km (22 mi) from shore in ~120 m (394 ft) water.
Havfram’s project management and engineering team will be based at the company’s Aberdeen office.
The company has similar assignments for the Johan Castberg and Jotun FPSOs offshore Norway.
