First Moray West offshore wind transition pieces depart Lamprell yard

Fabricator Lamprell has dispatched the first batch of transition pieces for Moray West’s Moray offshore wind farm development in the UK North Sea.

The new rig will now undergo intensive mechanical completion and commissioning before being transferred to IMI’s yard in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia, for final commissioning before local deployment.

Second IMI jackup nears completion in Saudi Arabia

Lamprell and International Maritime Industries (IMI) have concluded the load-out and float-off of a second jackup drilling rig under construction for IMI.

Lamprell has more than 130 wind turbine generator substructures, including jackets, pin piles and transition pieces.

BW MaBoMo platform heading for Gabon

The newly converted jackup production platform BW MaBoMo (ex-Hibiscus Alpha) has departed from the Lamprell yard in Dubai onboard a heavy-lift vessel.

Lamprell has three facilities in the Hamriyah Free Zone, the main yard which is located in Phase 1 and two smaller yards in Phase 2.
