Petropars has completed the installation of a platform jacket for the Belal gas field in the Persian Gulf for operator National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
According to news service Shana, the 75-m-tall structure, weighing 3,100 t, was installed by the Safra-5000 vessel using the floatover method, followed by pile driving and attaching of additional components.
The jacket was built by Sadra Marine Industrial Co. in Bushehr.
Belal will have an estimated production capacity of 500 MMcf/d of gas.
At the Masirah Oil-operated Yumna field in Block 50 offshore Oman, a new flowline has been installed and has started operations.
