At the Masirah Oil-operated Yumna field in Block 50 offshore Oman, a new flowline has been installed and has started operations, with produced fluids entering in late January.

The company said Feb. 10 that its gross production in January 2025 from the Yumna Field amounted to an average of 2,333 stock tank barrels per day.

Technical difficulties and updates

In November 2024, the company installed a bulk water system at the Yumna field offshore complex and commissioned gas-lift systems to improve operating efficiency and production capacity.

Back in October 2023, production was halted from the oil field due to damage to the internal pressure containing liner of a larger flowline that was installed that September (folllowing a leak from a flexible flowline). The manufacturer confirmed that the flowline’s hose integrity had been compromised. Production restarted that December.
