PERTH, Australia – Senegal’s Minister of Energy and Development of Renewable Energy has issued an arrêté ministériel (ministerial order), further confirming Woodside Energy’s participation in the offshore Rufisque, Sangomar and Sangomar Deep joint venture (RSSD JV).
One of the partners –FAR – has however made a request to the International Chamber of Commerce to start arbitration proceedings, asserting its right to pre-empt the sale of ConocoPhillips’ interest in the RSSD JV to Woodside.
Woodside has countered that it does not believe FAR’s claim has any merit. The company has discussed with the other partners becoming operator of the venture and the associatedSNE field development.
