CNOOC ramps up production from Panyu oil fields offshore China
CNOOC has started up its Panyu 11-12/10-1/ 10-2 oilfields adjustment joint development in the eastern South China Sea.
Main facilities, in an average water depth of about 100 m, are a new wellhead platform and an unmanned wellhead installation, with 12 planned wells. Later this year production should hit a peak of 13,600 boe/d of medium-heavy crude.
The unmanned wellhead platform is designed for typhoon production mode with a heavy-oil intelligent processing system. It is linked via a trestle bridge to an existing platform serving the Panyu 10-2 field, allowing for sharing of facilities and equipment.
Since the start of operations in 2003, the Panyu oil field has produced more than 380 MMbbl, with an intelligent oilfield cluster established in recent years combining digital, intelligent and unmanned operations.
