Kistos says the Greater Laggan Area consists of four producing subsea fields (Laggan, Tormore, Glenlivet and Edradour) that are tied back to the Shetland Gas Plant at Sullom Voe on the Shetland Islands via a long-distance 143-km dual flowline system.
Shell’s Victory gas field west of Shetland should start production toward the end of this year, according to Kistos’ latest operations update.
Kistos is a partner in the Greater Laggan Area (GLA) gas fields and associated infrastructure, operated at present by TotalEnergies. Victory is under development as a tieback to the subsea pipeline system that takes the GLA gas to Shetland for processing.
In the Dutch North Sea, production from Kistos’ Q10-A gas field has been impacted by outages at the TAQA-operated P15-D platform. Kistos is working to maximize volumes and reduce operating costs, while also participating in talks to extend the life of the P15-D platform and wider infrastructure.
