Saudi Aramco said its objective in developing the Manifa oil field was to produce 900,000 bbl/d of Arabian heavy crude oil. By July 2013, the project’s first milestone of 500,000 bbl/d was achieved.
Saudi Aramco has awarded Saipem two new offshore projects in Saudi Arabia, under the two companies’ long-term agreement arrangement.
The combined value of the work is about $500 million.
At the offshore Abu Safah Field, Saipem has EPCI responsibilities for a new 50-km, 42-inch oil trunkline. The other program involves production maintenance at the Berri and Manifa fields.
