ABERDEEN, UK --Gasunie has contracted iicorr Ltd. for integrity management of the new BBL pipeline taking gas from Balgazand, the Netherlands, to Bacton in eastern England.
The 36-in. (91.4-cm), 230-km (143-mi) pipeline provides 15% of the UK's gas needs. iicorr's remit includes developing integrity strategies and inspection and monitoring plans. The company has subcontracted Fugro Survey to provide pipeline surveys.
