Offshore staff
HANOI, Vietnam -- Petrovietnam Gas Corp., Chevron Vietnam Ltd., Mitsui Oil Exploration Co Ltd., and PTT Exploration and Production Public Co. have sign a cooperation contract for the Block B Gas Pipeline Project offshore Vietnam.
Petrovietnam will operate the $1-billion installation to move gas from blocks B 48/95 and 52/97 off the southwest coast of Vietnam. Maximum capacity is to be 18.3 bcm/d (646 bcf/d). The pipeline is to total 400 km (249 mi) in length, the longest in Vietnam according to Petrovietnam, with 246 km (153 mi) of that offshore.
