Offshore staff
PARIS – The Tupi BV consortium of Petrobras Netherland, BG, and Galphabe has contracted Technip to supply flexible pipe for the presalt Iracema North field in the Santos basin offshore Brazil.
Technip’s operating center in Rio de Janeiro will manage the project with the company’s sites in Vitoria and Açu manufacturing 114 km (71 mi) of pipes for gas lift, gas injection, and gas export lines.
Petrobras has requested a service life of up to 30 years, for sour service application, in water depths of up to 2,500 m (8,200 ft) and to withstand high-pressure gas injection in the reservoir. Delivery is expected to start in the first half of 2015.
Last yearTechnip was also awarded the flexible pipe supply contract for the Iracema Sul field.
