Corinth supplying pipes for North Sea Utsira High tiebacks
Feb. 28, 2024
TechnipFMC has subcontracted Corinth Pipeworks to fabricate 27 km of high-frequency welded steel pipes for Aker BP’s Utsira High project in the central Norwegian North Sea.
This covers two satellite field developments: Symra, a subsea tieback to the Ivar Aasen platform, and Solveig Phase 2 to the Edvard Grieg platform.
The HFW pipes will be manufactured at Corinth Pipeworks’ facilities in Thisvi, Greece, with the scope of supply including application of an external three-layer polypropylene coating.
