STAVANGER – Gaz-System has contracted Delta Energy Services AS to provide inspection services to the Baltic Pipe gas project.
Baltic Pipe, co-financed by the European Union, will create a new inter-European gas corridor supply gas from Norway through new offshore and onshore pipelines to Poland, Denmark and neighboring countries.
Delta Energy Services will undertake a range of inspections during production of concrete weight coated, 36-in. line pipe for the 275-km (171-mi) long offshore pipeline that will cross Danish and Polish territorial waters and the Swedish Exclusive Economic Zone in the Baltic Sea, with a landfall at Niechorze-Pogorzelica in Poland.
Work will initially take place in plate, pipe and coating facilities in Germany and France, followed by further activity at concrete weight coating and anode manufacturing facilities in the UK and marshalling yards in Denmark and Germany.
Services started in April and will continue until around August 2022.
