Panoro Energy expects the first of two new infill wells in Block 6 offshore Equatorial Guinea to come onstream early next month.
Drilling is taking place on the Ceiba field and offshore Okume complex.
Initial results from the first well look promising, the company said in a trading update, with the second well set to be completed and onstream in October.
In the Panoro-operated Block EG-01, also offshore Equatorial Guinea, a seismic reprocessing program is underway using pre-stack depth migration techniques.
Offshore Gabon, where the company is a partner in the Dussafu Block, the contract for the Borr Drilling jackup Borr Norve has been extended through February 2025. Following completion of the current DHIBM-7H production well on the recently discovered Hibiscus Northern Flank, the rig will perform well workovers and electric submersible pump replacements.
The final step in the current campaign will be the Bourdon prospect test well (DBM-1) in early 2025. Bourdon, in 115 m of water, is 7 km southeast of the BW MaBoMo production jackup and 14 km west of the BW Adolo FPSO.
It contains prospective recoverable resources of 29 MMbbl in the Gamba and Dentale formations.
Once the campaign has finished, gross oil production at Dussafu should climb to 40,000 bbl/d.
