EDINBURGH, UK – The jackup Topaz Driller has spudded the IM-6 appraisal well on the Etinde block offshore Cameroon, operated by New Age Cameroon Offshore Petroleum.
According to partner Bowleven, this is the first of two appraisal wells planned this year.
Drilling and logging operations for IM-6 should last around 100 days with Schlumberger providing most of the drilling services.
The well is designed to delineate the size and extent of the Intra-Isongo stratigraphic sand traps as a primary target, with the Upper Isongo sand as a secondary target.
