MADRID, Spain – Repsol has achieved a fourth oil discovery in block 33 in the Campos basin offshore Brazil.
The Gávea-1 well was completed with significant cost reductions, the company added, in accordance with efficiency measures defined in its Strategic Plan 2016-2020.
Last month, the company also signed a 10-year extension of a production contract for the PM3 block offshore Peninsular Malaysia, where five fields are in production.
Repsol has a 35% operating interest in the project.
