IOOC sanctions well enhancement campaign at three Persian Gulf fields

Iranian Offshore Oil Co. has contracted PetroIran Co. to maintain and enhance oil production capacity at the Sivand, Esfand, and Dena oil fields in the Persian Gulf.

TEHRAN, IranIranian Offshore Oil Co. (IOOC) has contracted PetroIran Co. to maintain and enhance oil production capacity at the Sivand, Esfand, and Dena oil fields in the Persian Gulf.

The program, due to be completed in a 20-month period, should increase crude production from the three fields by 16,000 b/d.

Value of the engineering, procurement, and drilling contract is €105 million ($119 million). It involves drilling, repair, and completion of 13 wells across the three fields, including four new wells, re-drills of six wells and repairs to three others.

According to news service Shana reports, IOOC is also reviewing proposals for bids for projects aimed at enhancing the production capacity of the Resalat and Forouzan offshore oil fields.

Separately, Shana has reported that Pars Oil and Gas Co. has started gas recovery through the second platform of theSouth Pars Phase 14 development.

The facility is designed to produce 500 MMcf/d of sour gas, lifting capacity from Phase 14 to 1 bcf/d.
