LONDON – SOCO International expects the Japan Drilling Co. jackup Hakuryu-II to arrive soon at the CNV field wellhead platform in block 9-2 off southern Vietnam.
The rig will initially drill the CNV-5P side track for the HVJOC partners before moving to the TGT field in block 16-1 to the H5 wellhead platform.
Here the HLJOC partnership has also contracted a second jackup, the PetroVietnam DrillingPVD-1, which is due to start drilling from the H1-WHP in August.
SOCO continues to assess solutions to compressor issues on the FPSO and is in negotiations for an extension to the FPSO bare boat charter.
