    Awilco wins further North Sea assignment for semisubmersible

    Awilco Drilling has a letter of intent from an unnamed operator to use the semisubmersible WilPhoenix.

    ABERDEEN, UK – Awilco Drilling has a letter of intent from an unnamed operator to use the semisubmersible WilPhoenix.

    The program, with an estimated duration of 115 days, will start immediately following the conclusion of the rig’s current contract withApache North Sea this spring.

    Contract value is around $13.8 million.

    The WilPhoenix is one of two Enhanced Pacesetter semis in Awilco’s fleet, capable of drilling in water depths up to 1,200 ft (366 m).
