ABERDEEN, UK– Total E&P UK Ltd. has awarded the semisubmersible Stena Don a one-well contract for the Laggan field west of Shetland.
The duration of the contract is around 90 days with potential options and will begin as early as mid-March 2019. Water depth is up to 650 m (2,133 ft).
TheStena Donis currently drilling an exploration well west of the Shetland Islands for Total E&P UK.
Pursuant to the completion of the 2018 campaign, Stena Drilling decided to upgrade theStena Don with the installation of an eight-point mooring system. The unit is expected to arrive later this year at Damen Verolme Rotterdam and remain there for around three months.
