STRAUME, NorwayAGR has detailed how Aker BP’s Drilling & Well division is using its software on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Over the past few years, the company (which was formed last year following a merger betweenBP Norge and Det norske oljelskap) has used AGR’s P1 and iQ systems on various projects.

AGR says its software solutions are designed to create cost and well operational efficiencies through digital transformation.

Petter Mathisen, VP for AGR Software, said: “We have been working with the operator since 2010 and look forward to continuing to work with them to support digital transformation and automation of its operations.”

P1 software is said to improve the accuracy of time and cost modeling throughout the project management process, from project selection, conceptual design through execution. It is applied to generate well time estimates and to build operational models.

iQ is designed to optimize well performance and drilling management by providing a data and knowledge management platform. On theIvar Aasen field in the North Sea, it has been used to streamline and standardize the operator’s process around collecting and analyzing well data and operational experiences.
