HONG KONG – Husky-CNOOC Madura (HCML) has started production from the BD gas/condensate field development in the Madura Strait offshore Indonesia.
Water depth is 55 m (180 ft). The facilities comprise an unmanned wellhead platform, anFPSO, and four production wells.
Currently two wells are online, with sales output of around 7,200 boe/d. Production should peak at around 25,500 boe/d next year.
HCML is the operator of the production-sharing contract for the BD gas field. Husky and CNOOC Ltd. each hold a 40% interest in HCML, with Samudra Energy holding the remaining 20%.
