SINGAPORE – KrisEnergy has contracted TechnipFMC Thailand to conduct front-end engineering and design for the Rossukon oil field development in the Gulf of Thailand.
Late last year the Petroleum Committee of Thailand approved a two-year extension of the surrounding G6/48 license through November 2021.
Following a geophysical and geotechnical logical survey last November, KrisEnergy has determined the final location for the Rossukon A platform.
At the B8/32 oil and gas complex in the Gulf, all 13 infill wells for the 2018 campaign were completed and on production at the two platforms in December.
The 2019 infill drilling (36 wells) started earlier than scheduled on Dec. 4, with two jackups contracted. To date 10 wells have been completed at the MAWD platform and six at the BEWU platform, with all set to come online in March.
A further 12 and eight wells will be drilled at respectively the MAWC and BEWG platforms.
