CALGARY, Canada – Husky Energy expects drilling to finish by mid-year of the three remaining wells for the deepwater Liuhua 29-1 field development offshore China.

A total of seven wells will be tied into the existing Liwan production/export infrastructure, with first gas expected around the end of 2020.

Offshore Newfoundland, operations were cleared to resume at the end of January from the central drill center at the White Rose field, following a major storm.

Husky expects output to continue ramping up through the current quarter as additional subsea drill centers are brought onstream.

Two further White Rose infill wells are due to start producing shortly.
