ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan – Dragon Oil has updated test results for its latest four development wells in Cheleken Contract Area fields offshore Turkmenistan.
The Dzheitune (Lam) C/170 well was completed as a dual producer to a depth of 2,730 m (8,597 ft). It tested for initial production at 2,072 b/d of oil. The drilling rig has since skidded to the next slot on the platform and spudded the Dzheitune (Lam) C/173 well.
Dzheitune (Lam) 13/171 is undergoing completion testing and evaluation, and further rigless optimization will be performed on the well. At present the well is delivering limited production. The drilling rig has transferred to the existing Dzheitune (Lam) 13/144 well to perform a side track.
TheDzheitune (Lam) 28/169 well was re-tested following further optimization, yielding incremental production of more than 300 b/d to reach a test rate of 2,097 b/d. Rigless testing was performed once the well was completed to allow the rig to spud the next well on time.
Finally, the Dzheitune (Lam) 28/172 well was drilled to 2,007 m (6,584 ft) and completed as a single producer. It tested for initial production at 1,976 b/d. The rig has since moved to the next slot to spud the Dzheitune (Lam) 28/174 well.
