MOSCOW – Lukoil has begun driving in marine risers at the V. Filanovsky field complex in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
This operation precedes drilling of development wells.
The 13 risers, required to reinforce wellheads, ensure circulation and environmental safety ofdrilling operations, will be driven into the seabed to a depth of 120 m (393 ft).
