Offshore staff
HOUSTON –The US offshore rig count slid to 29, five rigs down from the prior week, bringing it to 31 fewer year-over-year, reported Baker Hughes Inc.
The total US rig count is down three from the prior week to 885. Baker Hughes has said this is down 972 rigs from the prior year. BHI has counted 659 oil rigs, 222 gas rigs, and four miscellaneous rigs.
At the same time, the total Canadian rig count went down five to 72.
