OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has sanctioned Statoil’s request for exploration drilling in the Norwegian Sea.
Later this month the semisubmersibleTransocean Spitsbergen will spud well 6706/12 on production license 602, block 6706/12, to investigate the potential of the 6706/12-3 Roald Rygg discovery.
Drilling could last 34 days, depending on the outcome.
