VANCOUVER, Canada — Trillion Energy International has issued a progress report on its ongoing production drilling campaign at the SASB gas field in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea.
Two of the latest three well operations have either started or finished, with combined production at SASB currently at 14.4 MMcf/d.
Perforations are underway in the West Akcakoca well and set to start in the Akcakoca-3 well.
For Guluc-2, the perforation agenda includes a total of 30 m of gas pay in five separate sands. However, due to high pressure in the `C’ gas sand zones, Trillion opted to delay perforation of the final pay zones totaling 12.3 m in the B, A and AA gas sands until conclusion of the West Akcakoca-2 perforations, to allow production to stabilize.
At West Akcakoca-2, sands B and A were perforated over the weekend over 6 m of gas pay, causing pressure to rise to 1,742 psi. Perforation of two additional zones continues.
Akcakoca-3 will be the final well to be perforated in the C and the E sands for an additional 19 m of gas pay.
CEO Arthur Halleran said, “We are pleased with the results of our ongoing perforation program at SASB, which is about halfway completed at this time…
“The current program is just the beginning; we will continue to work on increasing gas production at SASB until we are satisfied with the result.”
