VANCOUVER, Canada — Trillion Energy International says drilling is underway on the Alapli-2 natural gas well at the SASB Field in the Black Sea offshore Turkey.
This is the sixth well in the current drilling program.
Alapli-2 is a long-reach directional well drilled from the Akkaya tripod, which will “twin” the Alapli-1 exploration well. The latter was never put on production but was perforated and tested at a combined rate of more than 7 MMcf/d.
On completion of Alapli-2 in about 45 days, six gas wells will be in production at SASB. The recently onstream Bayhanl-2 has delivered strong flush gas production and is the field’s top producer to date, Trillion said.
