ABU DHABI, UAE — Kongsberg Digital has introduced a service that allows operators to track in real time their key performance indicator (KPI) progress on drilling and well operations.
According to the company, invisible lost time (ILT)—the difference between actual operational duration and a best practice target—can be a major challenge in well delivery.
KPIs can help achieve time efficiencies and cost reductions through target-driven metrics. By applying a proprietary algorithm, real-time data and conditions-based logic can be integrated, analyzed and applied to follow KPI progress and to identify further areas for efficiencies.
The performance analysis method can be applied to various types of rigs and wellbores, quickly removing human bias, providing an easy to interpret view of project status, according to Kongsberg Digital.
The company will offer the KPI application as part of its SiteCom platform.
