Eni, TotalEnergies begin drilling on Cronos-1 project offshore Cyprus

With the arrival of the Tungsten Explorer ship, the Cronos-1 drilling has begun in Block 6 offshore Cyprus by joint venture Eni Cyprus Ltd. and TotalEnergies EP Cyprus B.V.

Republic of Cyprus — The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry has announced that, with the arrival of the Tungsten Explorerdrilling ship today, the drilling works Cronos-1 have begun in Block 6 of the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Cyprus by joint venture partners Eni Cyprus Ltd. and TotalEnergies EP Cyprus B.V., which hold a hydrocarbon exploration license for the plot.
The drilling operations will be monitored on an ongoing basis by the personnel of the hydrocarbons service, according to the ministry.
