EDINBURGH, UK – Capricorn Energy (ex-Cairn Energy) expects partner Eni to drill the Yatzil exploration well in block 7 offshore Mexico later this year.

In offshore block 10, operations finished recently on the Eni-operated Saasken-2DEL appraisal well, with data under review for the evaluation of the Saasken discovery.

Drilling continues on the Jaws exploration well in the UK North Sea (Capricorn 50%), with results expected later in the current quarter, while in the UK southern North Sea, 3D seismic data acquisition has finished over license P2428.

The final processed data, to be issued this spring, will allow the company and partner Deltic Energy to speed up their assessment of prospectivity in the license area.

Finally, Capricorn expects to spud its operated Diadem exploration well in UK offshore license P2379 during 2Q.
