LONDON – The semisubmersible Stena Don has completed drilling for Chariot on the Lixus license offshore Morocco.

During the campaign, the rig team inspected the 2009 Anchois-1 gas discovery well and confirmed its potential viability for use as a future producer well in a development.

Chariot and partner ONHYM decided against taking a Sand A gas sample in the well as gas samples had been obtained in the previously drilled Anchois-2 well.

The Anchois-2 well fulfilled the partners’ appraisal and exploration objectives, delivering over 100 m (328 ft) of net pay. It has since been suspended, again for potential completion as a future producer.

Data recovered from multiple gas discoveries in Anchois-2 included results from a subsurface formation testing program, which recovered 12 gas samples across seven gas-bearing reservoirs.

The Stena Don has started demobilization activities.
