OSLO, Norway – Aker BP has authorization from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill a pilot well in the North Sea.
The company wants to ensure the planned drilled sites for the Hanz field development wells 25/10-A-1 AH and 25/10-B-1 H are not at risk from shallow gas/water hazards.
Odfjell’s semisubmersible Deepsea Nordkapp will drill the 25/10-U-8 pilot well in 116 m (381 ft) of water on production license. The program should take three days to complete.
