OSLO, Norway – Aker BP has secured consents from two Norwegian authorities for the use of the semisubmersible Deepsea Nordkapp for exploration and appraisal drilling in the North Sea.
Three, approved by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, are for planned activity in the Frigg area in production license 873.
The other, sanctioned by the Petroleum Safety Authority, applies to a planned wildcat on the Laushornet prospect in 399 m (1,309 ft) water depth in PL 685.
