GODALMING, UK – Hurricane Energy has hired the semisubmersible Stena Don to P&A the 205/26b-14 (Lincoln-14) well west of Shetland.
The company operates the surrounding P1368 (South) license in the Greater Warwick Area, in partnership with Spirit Energy Resources.
Hurricane estimates the program should take 20-25 days to complete, at a cost of close to $13 million.
At the nearby producing Lancaster oil field, the company has restarted the electric submersible pump in the Lancaster 205/21a-6 (P6) well.
Once stabilized, production should reach 11,000 b/d, similar to the level recorded prior to the pump’s trip on June 8. Thereafter, output from the well is set to steadily decline.
