LYNGBY, Denmark – Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) has exercised an option for one deepwater exploratory well under its contract with the drillship Maersk Viking.
The contract extension, estimated at 35 days, should take effect next May in direct continuation of the rig’s previously agreed work scope.
Value of the extension is around $7.1 million, including the provision of additional services.
The Maersk Viking, delivered in 2013, is due to start the drilling campaign for BSP in March 2021.
